RadiaSon

Driven by our shared love for music, the "Feedback" collective, with Antoine Assanvo and Quentin Nolot, explores ways of sensing and reacting within the concert. We aimed to create the modular and interactive mobile stage "RadiaSon," offering a unique sonic and visual experience. The audience and performer interact with sensors, actively shaping the performance.

These interactions are rooted in the "unexplored energies of the concert," encompassing collective and individual energies from both the audience and the artist. Within RadiaSon, the modules act as receptacles for these energies, taking shapeless forms and activating with the wind, highlighting the intangible and diverse nature of these energies.

RadiaSon aims to highlight emerging French music artists by offering them this modular scene.

Cultural reappropriations

My dissertation examines the impact of digital culture and technologies on the expression of African identity by French and Belgian musicians. Through interviews with artists, I analyze their practices and the role of Africanity and digital technologies in their work. I also explore music distribution stakeholders, including internet users. Lastly, I discuss the evolving concert landscape in the digital era and ways for embodying Africanity on stage.

Oulipo

The OuLiPo, research group in experimental literature, celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2020. For this anniversary, a tribute exhibition was held for which I designed the poster. To resonate with the mathematical rigor of OuLiPo texts, I reinvested in my typographic posters characters generated by a protocol. This protocol is part of a book of 40 alteration protocols of the typeface gotham bold that I realised through diverse experiments.

Project components
1 book of protocols
dimensions : 29,7 x 42cm
4 typographic posters
dimensions : 42 x 59,4 cm
1 animated poster
Dimensions : 1080 x 1920 px
Duration : 10 seconds

Future earth

At Studio Plastac, I worked on "Future earth," a dinner experience exploring a post-anthropocene future where nature takes back control. Each act represents a transformed environment, with dishes showcasing this newfound independence of nature. I helped illustrate several scenes, focusing primarily on animating two: the introduction and the “monde souterrain”.

Faunanthropie

Faunanthropie explores ecological thoughts from the 20th and 21st centuries. Created with Antoine Assanvo, it draws from the diverse collection of the Museum of the Living, showcasing the evolution of ecology in the Anthropocene. Designed for three simultaneous participants, the setup allows them to visually and sonorously influence the environment by adjusting parameters: perception of nature, human/nature relationship, and human activity. Upon finding the ideal settings, a specific resource appears, accompanied by an anecdote. Faunanthropie aims to offer a first, playful approach to ecological thinking, fostering collective reflection.

Faunanthropie is part of Ecolarium, an exhibition with 4 interactive dispositives. Ecolarium goal is to raise awarness of ecology. It was produced in partneship with the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie.

Marabout

Starting from a flyer given to me by a Marabout in Paris, I came up with a video to promote his business. I imagined the Marabout as a being apart, as if he were a creature from another dimension endowed with extraordinary and supernatural abilities.

SEARCH FOR THE TYPE OF EXPERIENCE

PROJECT CONTINUATION

I created a system of representation of scents that mixes the scientific aspects of the perfumery field with the emotional charge linked to scents.
The representation of the scent is then a combination of graphic elements that represent parameters such as the olfactory family or the manufacturing process. There are also criteria linked to the senses such as aura (colored harmony), texture or sonority.

FINAL FORM OF THE EXPERIENCE

The device is first found in the museum where the user will make their own scent with the help of a control panel. This scent will be compared to the closest existing scent, which will be part of a database made by a nose.

To continue the experience after the visit, a mobile application allows the user to replay the scents of their daily life and create their visualizations.

Digital scents

For my bachelor’s diploma project, I proposed a device that allows visitors of the Musée International de la Parfumerie to make scents using a digital interface. The experience proposes a system of representation of scents, in order to give them a materiality. The objective of the device is to bring the user to apprehend the scents differently, by using other senses than smell.

Years and years

Years and years is a British show that portrays the everyday life of a family throughout the years. It’s punctuated by a lot of news flashs that describe the evolution of politics, technology and of society in general. To promote the show in France, I was asked to realise 3 animated posters. I chose to use these news flashs and to degrade them to illustrate overinformation and the impact of this phenomenon on the family.

Brand book

Rotring, a German manufacturer of technical drawing equipment, asked me to design their brand book. Intended for their partners as well as their important customers, it must highlight the values of the brand and celebrate its expertise. In a booklet, I wanted to highlight the role of Rotring, which helps the designers’ practice by linking the brand to its primary inspiration : the Bauhaus school.
